KPIzone is the home of the UK Construction Industry Key Performance Indicators

These KPIs are published each year by Constructing Excellence using performance data collected from accross the UK construction sector by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills. (BIS).

KPIzone provides organisations of any size and from all major sectors of the construction industry with an easy way of measuring and benchmarking performance against national data.

KPIzone is the home to the UK Construction Industry

These KPIs are published each year by Constructing Excellence using
performance data collected from across the UK construction sector by
the Department for Buisness Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR).

KPIzone provides organisations of any size and from all major sectors
of the construction industry with an easy way of measuring and
benchmarking performance against national data.

How to subscribe to KPIzone
KPIzone is available for a 12 month subscription. You can purchase a subscription via the on-line shop or download an order form and follow the instructions. If you require immediate access, contact the helpdesk on 020 7592 1100 A years free membership of KPIzone is included as a memeber benefit to all full members of Constructing Excellence and the Housing Forum.

Using KPIzone

KPIzone is a fully intergrated program that allows users to access detailed information on over 300 UK Key Performance Indicators, measure performance and benchmark against national data.

All headline KPIs are accompanied by their definition, methods of measurement, data collection forms and examples. Many of the KPIs also have graphs showing the long-term trends in the UK industry over up to ten years.

New to KPIs ?

Within the system there is a 7 Step Tutorial that takes you through the methods and benefits of using KPIs. Advice is also given on how to decide which KPI to use, how to collect and manage your data, as well as how to report your results. The KPIzone 7 Step Tutorial will help you complete each step and guide you in management reporting.

KPImark

The KPImark is offered by Constructing Excellence to users of the full version of KPIzone
to recognise that they are using the nationally recognised UK Construction Industry
KPIs to measure their performance.

Qualifying for the KPImark
To qualify for the KPImark users need to have measured their performance using five of the
UK Construction Industry KPIs, and have stored their results in their secure database within
KPIzone. Plans to develop a silver and gold KPImark are being developed.

The system will automatically recognise that users have reached this minimum requirement,
and an email will be sent to the user’s registered administrator with an image of the KPImark.
The KPImark will show which calendar year it was issued, and the standard reached.

Using the KPImark
Organisations may use the KPImark to inform any interested parties that they are users
of KPIzone.

Does the KPImark imply a minimum level of performance?
The KPImark is only confirmation that the user has added five KPI results to their secure
database on KPIzone. It does not guarantee the accuracy of that data, and it does not
imply any standard of performance.

The KPImark Terms and conditions:
1.	The KPImark is offered by Constructing Excellence in the Built Environment (CE) to organisations that have measured their performance using five or more of the UK Construction Industry Key Performance Indicators, and have stored their results in their secure database within KPIzone.

2.	The KPImark can be displayed by organisations to show that they are users of KPIzone, but award of the KPImark does not imply or guarantee any standard of performance or approval by CE or its member organisations. No wording should be used in association with the KPImark that implies that CE or its member organisation is offering any guarantee of performance.

3.	Use of the KPImark is only valid as long as the organisation to which it has been issued continues to subscribe to KPIzone.

KPI data tables

Look up tables are available in Microsoft Excel® 2003 format to organisations wishing to incorporate the Construction Industry KPIs into their own data management system.

The look-up tables cover all the main groups of KPIs and provide the benchmark score for all performance results within the range shown on the KPI graphs in KPIzone. They do not show the names or details of any organisation that has provided data into the KPI data collection system.

They are available for the organisation's own use and may not be incorporated into any software system that is sold or passed on to any other parties.
